CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE

If you have a sweet tooth , then you are going to love our favourite chocolate cake recipe. 

Years ago when we started on our health journey, Deep & I were both addicted to sugar. I used to eat cake almost every day (sometimes twice a day) and Deep used to eat ice-cream every night. So when we embarked on our health journey and decided to give up white sugar, dairy and gluten, we were both overcome by some major cravings. 

This is when we had to come up with some creative ways to still keep enjoying our favourite foods and get our sugar fix lol. So we created quite a few different recipes of cakes, cookies, ice-creams, etc. 

Today we want to share with you our favourite cake recipe. This cake is super easy to bake, doesn’t require any fancy ingredients and is full of healthy fats and fibre to nourish your body. 

RECIPE:

  • 1 1/2 cup Oat Flour
  • 2 Scoops Dutch Chocolate Nutrimeal
  • 2 tbsps Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 3/4 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1 cup Coconut Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Flaxseed Powder

DIRECTIONS:
1. Pre-heat oven at 180 degrees.
2. Mix all dry ingredients together.
3. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the coconut oil and mix with a blender.
4. Line a baking pan with oil and pour the cake mixture in it.
5. Bake for 20 minutes and check if its ready with a toothpick.
6. Let it cool down and enjoy!

This cake makes a great pre or post workout snack as it has protein too. You can also add eggs if you like. You’ll just need to get a bit more of the flour.
